About Me
I first got curious about cybersecurity in 2022 after seeing how much could happen inside a system without being obvious from the outside. I did not start learning seriously until I entered university in 2024, when I had the time and community to give it a proper shot.
Since then, I've been building my foundations in Linux, networking, and Python through courses, labs, and CTFs. Penetration testing interests me most because it rewards curiosity, patience, and a methodical approach.
I also create content under Cygba / Odegejr for people who are starting out in cybersecurity. Explaining a topic forces me to understand it properly, so teaching has become part of how I learn.
- Learning cybersecurity seriously since 2024
- Practicing penetration testing, networking, and Linux
- Uses Python to automate repetitive security tasks
- Builds small security tools to learn through practice
- Creates practical cybersecurity content for beginners
- Helps beginners work through their first CTFs

Cyber Word of the Day
Botnet
/ˈbɒtnɛt/MalwareA network of hijacked devices controlled remotely, usually without their owners knowing.
A collection of internet-connected devices infected with malware and controlled collectively by an attacker, often used to launch DDoS attacks or send spam at scale.
“The botnet, made of thousands of compromised routers, flooded the target with traffic.”

Featured Projects
Small security tools built to put concepts into practice.
Python Port Scanner
A multi-threaded TCP port scanner for learning how port scanning works, with banner grabbing, configurable timeouts, and CSV export.
Network Scanner
Scans a local subnet for live hosts, open ports, and likely device types while putting ARP, ICMP, and TCP concepts into practice.
Packet Analyzer
A lightweight CLI packet analyzer that captures traffic, decodes packets, flags suspicious patterns, and summarizes protocols.
Secure File Encryptor
Encrypts and decrypts files with AES-256 and derives the encryption key from a passphrase with PBKDF2.
Vulnerability Scanner
Checks a target host for common misconfigurations and known CVEs, then produces a plain-language risk report.
Password Manager
A local password manager with a master-password-derived encryption key, automatic clipboard clearing, and no plaintext password storage.
Log Analyzer
Parses authentication and access logs to find brute-force attempts, unusual login times, and other patterns an analyst may need to investigate.
Learning Journey
Writeups, tutorials, and notes from whatever I'm currently deep in.
